Tattoo Crews’ Epic Sandbox VR Adventure & Steak Feast at Brazas de Brazil

Inkestry has always been more than just a tattoo studio; it’s a community, a creative space, and, most importantly, a family. On July 17th, we marked our 14th anniversary in style with a day filled with fun, laughter, and unforgettable experiences. Our team, along with some special guests, traded in their tattoo guns for VR gear and then wrapped up the day with a feast fit for kings at Brazas de Brazil. Here’s a recap of our epic day!

Virtual Reality Fun at Sandbox VR

We kicked off the celebration at Sandbox VR in San Jose. If you’ve never been, let us tell you—it’s a game-changer. Picture this: the whole Inkestry crew, including Joe Flórez, Rheanne Jorganson, Haley Dickson, Shannon Anderson, Gesso Anderson, and Marianne Tony’s girlfriend, along with everyone’s +1, suited up in VR gear, stepping into different worlds, battling it out against zombies, aliens, and even each other! The immersive VR experiences had everyone on edge, from dodging laser beams to wielding futuristic weapons.

Some highlights from the virtual battlefield:

Letty’s legendary headshot during the zombie apocalypse scenario had the whole crew cheering.

Tony and Blaze took on the final boss in a high-stakes battle, and let’s just say the victory dance was priceless.

Haley and Shannon teamed up and conquered the futuristic escape mission—turns out, they’re an unstoppable duo!

Joe Flórez managed to sneak by half the team during the stealth mission, proving that his skills go beyond the tattoo chair.

Rheanne Jorganson held her own in the space invaders challenge, impressing everyone with her quick reflexes.

Gesso Anderson’s VR debut had us all laughing, but his dedication was undeniable.

After an hour of adrenaline-pumping fun, we left Sandbox VR feeling like true action heroes, but we were only halfway through the day.

A Feast at Brazas de Brazil

Once we worked up a hunger from all the VR action, it was time to refuel. We headed over to Brazas de Brazil, a famous Brazilian steakhouse in the heart of San Jose. As soon as we walked in, the aromas of grilled meats hit us, and we knew we were in for a treat.

From the moment we sat down, the service was impeccable. We indulged in a never-ending parade of the most tender and flavorful cuts of meat, from picanha to filet mignon. The table was filled with side dishes, Brazilian-style, that complemented the meats perfectly. It was a culinary experience we won’t soon forget!

Some highlights from the feast:

Blaze couldn’t get enough of the lamb—seriously, the waiters just kept coming back with more.

Tony’s plate was stacked high with all kinds of grilled meats, proving once again that a big appetite is key to being a great artist!

Rheanne and Haley were in heaven over the bacon-wrapped filet mignon.

Shannon and Gesso made sure to sample every single cut of meat—and they weren’t disappointed.

Joe Flórez gave the beef ribs a 10/10, calling it the best he’s ever had.

Marianne savored the side dishes and salad bar, while Tony sampled every possible meat cut available.

Cheers to Many More Years

The night was capped off with toasts, laughter, and some heartfelt reflections on Inkestry’s journey over the past 14 years. We’ve grown together as a team, pushed the boundaries of creativity, and developed lifelong friendships that make this studio feel like home.

We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Inkestry, and we’re ready for many more years of art, adventure, and, of course, unforgettable celebrations like this one.
