The client requested this piece to commemorate their profound journey of surviving and overcoming a life-threatening heart condition. I utilized fine-line stippling and dense black shading to contrast the delicate details of the human heart against the organic, spreading branches underneath. I structured the composition symmetrically across the sternum to naturally complement the body's contours and give it a powerful, foundational feel of newfound life.
