My client requested this classic anime piece to showcase their appreciation for vintage manga style, clever humor, and a smooth, rebellious attitude, using the master thief Lupin III lighting a cigarette to capture an effortless sense of cool. I used clean, varied line weights to mimic traditional ink brushstrokes, paired with heavy, saturated black packing for the hair and suit shadows to create high contrast depth.
